I was at an agility trial where a nest of baby bunnies had been mowed up the day before. Carnage. So duck feathers and poop good proofing! And seriously... Anyway, would you like to use our yard for working the ducks? It's almost an acre, right in town. Let me know. Bummer about the neighbor dog.

Oh ack! There are so many crazy clueless people. That is SO weird with the shake (I don't bother teaching it either) -- and how unhelpful with the bossy tone and the hard stare. I also can't stand it when people pat (thump thump) my dogs on the head since one of them is headshy. Curse of the cute fuzzy dogs. NEVER had these problems with my devil-eyed Chessie. :-p

Elli is gorgeous and wonderful, if I do say so. She's really good with the chickens. It think it's ironic that she's really mouthy with us (and Joe!), but she's never tried to grab a bird.

In the last 4 days Tess has grown so much that I had to let out her original collar (a lot) when I tried to put it back on her yesterday. She's almost as big as the CAT now! :)

Welcome back! Nice to have a puppy (reason) to come back to winter. Hear you on the kids, I used to hover outside schools with my puppies! All gets easier when it warms up. Maybe you can get her around the 4H class when it starts up? But good for you for being so "aggressive" towards strangers. :-)

I tried it two or three times, but she just wouldn't go! Poor thing! She held it from outside the airport in Alberta with Joan - ALL the way to the remote lot where I was parked at OHare.

Good luck on your trip and have lots of fun!!! Oh, one piece of advice - buy a newspaper at the airport to take with you in case you need to make a "puppy pit stop" in the airport. I had to do that with Hoss when I brought him home - I just found a quiet corner, laid out the paper and let him go. I thought I'd get in trouble for it, but an airport employee walked by and said, "That's a great idea!" I could have sworn I was busted!
